‘The Politics of Pink’ – Will it ever be gender neutral?
What: Private View ‘The Politics of Pink’
When: Running until 27th May 2018
Where: The Dot Project, 94 Fulham Road, SW3 6HS
Seven male artists have come together to challenge the preconceived ideas associated with colour in this powerful Exhibition ‘The Politics of Pink’. As we continue to encourage gender fluidity and question current social constructs, can we begin to reclaim pink as gender neutral? Is it a universal colour and are we able to shake up the assumptions that are associated with it? This exhibitions focuses on the colour being the artist’s creative choice rather than symbolising what we have come to assume to be an objective truth. The Private View is taking place on Thursday 12th April at 6pm, and the Exhibition will be running until 27th May x
